2013 was a great year of accomplishments for me. I finished my first triathlon, spent more days working out than NOT working out, and lost 10 pounds in the process! I had some great success at work, and love where I live. So my first "resolution" for 2014 is just to keep up the good work, and hopefully have a repeat performance.
I'm also feeling that 2014 might be the year of no more social media for me. I never even let myself get tied up in Instagram or Twitter, so that's an easy one. And Facebook has turned into a scrapbook of baby pictures, ads and silly posts, which is just not what it should be. Facebook started out as a way for me to stay in touch with friends and stay "current" in the college social scene. I am one of those old people (or young??) who can remember when Facebook actually made its debut appearance. I can remember having to be INVITED to join Facebook, and needing a .edu email address to even "get in." Sadly, it's turned into something else now. While there are a few stories or posts a week that really interest me, I don't know that it's enough to overpower the annoying, grossly misspelled, or redundant ones.
In short, I think it might be time to say goodbye to whatever Facebook has become. I wish more people read this blog, so maybe I'll get into it a little more, instead. Since nobody really seems to read it, I think it won't really count as "social" at all. So no worries in breaking the resolution with it. haha
